Charter Your Future Career Showcase Connects Students to Endless Possibilities

On September 19th, students from across North Carolina came together for a day filled with career exploration, hands-on learning, and fun at the Charter Your Future Career Showcase!

The inaugural showcase welcomed 700 students and more than 150 school staff members and parents representing nine public charter schools from across the state. The event provided public charter school students with the opportunity to explore careers, connect with professionals, and discover pathways they may not have considered before.

With 45 interactive exhibits, students had the chance to engage directly with organizations representing a wide range of industries and career pathways. Exhibitors included the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Central Carolina Community College departments, STEM organizations, financial institutions, military branches, business and industry partners, and more.

Rather than simply hearing about careers, students were encouraged to ask questions, participate in hands-on activities, and experience different career pathways firsthand. From STEM and skilled trades to education, transportation, finance, and other growing industries, the showcase demonstrated that there are countless ways for students to turn their interests and talents into future careers.

The event was free and open to all K–12 public charter school students across North Carolina, making career exploration accessible to students at every stage of their educational journey.

A special thank-you goes to all of the exhibitors, educators, families, sponsors, and community partners who helped make this event possible. Your commitment to exposing students to new opportunities is helping them see what is possible beyond the classroom.

If you missed this year's showcase, don't worry, you'll have another opportunity to join us! The Charter Your Future Career Showcase returns in September 2027, and we are already planning an even bigger experience for students across North Carolina.

We can't wait to see you there as we continue to connect students, schools, and industry to create meaningful pathways from the classroom to careers.
