Ms. Hicks is a tremendous 8th-grade science teacher and holds every single one of her students to high standards. She unpacks their 8th-grade science standards with them before each unit and ensures her pupils understand they are in full control of their academic success. Ms. Hicks's classes are full of fun experiments that her middle schoolers are always fully engaged in. Ms. Hicks's students have surpassed their projected growth achievement for the past three years, and her end-of-grade proficiency has been high each year as well! We at CCA are lucky to have Ms. Hicks as our colleague, and her students are extremely fortunate to be taught by her every day.
