Grow Your People: Professional Development Through Membership

The quality of a school is ultimately the quality of its people. NCAPCS membership gives you access to an exceptional range of professional development opportunities — for teachers, leaders, board members, and emerging talent alike.

Strong schools are built on strong people. But finding high-quality, affordable professional development that actually fits the charter school context can be a challenge. NCAPCS membership opens doors to programs that are not only relevant — they're exceptional.

Conscious Leadership for Education Leaders (Truist Partnership)
Through a partnership with Truist, member school leaders can apply to participate in the Conscious Leadership for Education Leaders program — a transformative leadership development experience valued at $9,450, completely free to members. This is a serious, substantive program designed to deepen self-awareness, improve decision-making, and strengthen the kind of leadership that drives lasting institutional change.

W.I.S.E. Leadership Cohort
The W.I.S.E. Leadership Cohort is designed specifically for women on your staff whose leadership potential you want to invest in. Member schools can nominate staff members for this free program — a powerful way to signal your investment in her future and build internal leadership pipelines that make schools resilient over time.

4th Fridays for Charter School Boards
4th Fridays for Charter School Boards is a webinar series specifically designed to grow your board's capacity — practical, timely, and tailored to the charter school governance context. When your board members are better equipped, they make better decisions.

Western Governors University Scholarship
Through the NCAPCS Collaborative Agreement with WGU, teachers in member schools are eligible to apply for a $2,500 scholarship — disbursed over up to four academic terms at $625 per term. A pathway to continuing education that is financially supported by your membership.

CEUs for Professional Development Activities
Participation in NCAPCS professional development — webinars, the annual conference, and other events — qualifies for Continuing Education Units (CEUs). After a quick post-event survey, participants receive a CEU Certificate. Your team gains knowledge and official documentation of that professional
learning.
