Pearls of Opportunity: Unlocking Student Success Through CTE & Work-Based Learning 

This hands-on workshop is designed for educators, school leaders, nonprofit organizations, and community partners interested in building impactful work-based learning programs and implementing STEM and AI initiatives for students.

Participants will engage in an interactive session focused on developing innovative career-connected learning opportunities that prepare students for future careers and high-demand industries. Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with ideas, goals, and school- or organization-specific challenges related to expanding career pathways, STEM and AI programming, work-based learning opportunities, career exploration initiatives, and student support programs.

During the session, participants will receive a starter toolkit of resources to support planning and implementation efforts. The facilitator will share best practices and practical tips for developing high-quality career development initiatives, including internship programs, apprenticeships, summer enrichment opportunities, career exploration events, mentorship programs, industry partnerships, and STEM and AI integration strategies. The workshop will also provide tools, resources, and ideas to help participants prepare students for meaningful career-connected learning experiences.

Participants will leave with stronger program ideas, practical resources, and actionable next steps to help bring innovative workforce and career development opportunities to their students and communities.
