Why do you support charter schools?

Charter Schools allow for creativity in public education.

What "good news" do charter schools bring to children and families?   

Brevard Academy began with a mission and a desire to be different. We continue to lead the way in Core Knowledge education, valuing the arts, and putting an emphasis on physical activity. We are a Blue-Zone certified workplace and school. Our students have weekly lessons in art, music, STEM, and outdoor education. All students have recess and PE every day.

Who is someone you feel brings out the best in the/your charter community and why?

We recently celebrated our Carpe Diem Professional Development Day. Our Dean of Academics, Amber Wolfe, organized the day and the activities. It was an incredible day for all involved. As we grow the day and the activities, we will continue to open up the day for educators across the state and region.
